All Breeds Welcome!

Thanks to everyone that came out in June!  We had a great show with 5 judges and lots of prizes!  The pancake breakfast was a huge hit!  Thanks to my husband Chuck who spent the better part of Saturday cooking bacon and sausage!  Then he got up early to bring it all down and serve everyone.  Great job Chuck!

We are in moving in fast forward to get ready for the Mid Summer Classic, held July 25 thru 27 at Trails End Arena.  This show has several things that are unique to this show only!
UNIQUE TO THIS SHOW:
• The Mid Summer Classic starts on Friday with a full class schedule. There will be two WSH carded judges and a 3rd judge for those of you chasing PAC, ACAAP, etc… points! Friday alone will award 8 High Point awards AND plaques to 6 different categories! Of course each placing will get “Poormans Bucks” that you can use to buy your prizes. Many of you are saving them for something bigger such as a custom embroidered sheet or jacket.
• Five total judges for the weekend! The Mid Summer Classic will offer 2 DIFFERENT judges for Saturday and Sunday. The class schedule will be spread out over 2 days with halter, showmanship and western on Saturday. Trail, driving, English showmanship and English classes are offered on Sunday.
• ABRA APPROVAL! Included in the class schedule are ABRA approved classes. For those of you who own a Buckskin that is registered with ABRA, you can buy your membership at the show and go into these classes!
• CIRCUIT AWARDS will be given to EVERY class! To win a circuit award you will show in your class on Friday and again over the weekend. The highest pointing horse/rider combo for that class will get to PICK THEIR Text Box: PRIZE! The circuit winners in the ABRA classes will receive a $10 Smith Brothers certificate. There are $400 in Smith Brothers certificates to be won! PLUS the WSH approved classes that only run over the weekend will also have a circuit award of a prize or a gift certificate! Nobody gets left behind! To have a better picture of what to enter for the circuit awards go to wwwpoormanshorseshows.com/wsh_show_info.htm . Click on Circuit Awards Explained
• CUSTOMER APPRECIATION WEENIE FEED Free to exhibitors and their families! Hot dogs (the good ones), lots of good food to go with them and beverages will be offered for exhibitors and their families.
• Mini Horse classes and all around! If you own a mini horse and want to show and drive, this is the show to do it at! There is even a mini horse all around award!
• TWO QUARTER HORSE BUCKLES UP FOR GRABS! Friday will be offering a WSQHA sponsored Quarter Horse buckle to the highest scoring Quarter Horse of the day! A second buckle will be offered for the weekend! For more information go to www.wsqha2.netfirms.com .
• FINAL SHOW OF THE SERIES And for those of you chasing the series awards, this is the final show of the summer series! You must show at this show to win the series award! Be sure to check the website (which will be updates shortly) to see where you are in the standings. Remember that if a horse doesn’t come to the show they are DQ’d from the series awards. We have gone as far down as the 7th horse before! So you never know how it will turn out!
Remember if you pre-enter you will save $3 per class! You only need to pre-enter 3 classes. You can add on at the show at the pre-entry price! Forms are at Text Box: Poormans Mid Summer Classic WSH/ABRA Open Show ~ July 25 thru 27 ~ Trails End Arena

All Novice Quarter Horse & Open Show

September 6 & 7  ~  Monroe WA

Poormans Equestrian Services is hosting an All Novice Quarter Horse & Open Show the weekend of September 6th & 7th.

The All Novice Shows focus on the exhibitors and horses that want an “introduction” to the AQHA show environment.  While the AQHA rules apply, the atmosphere is a little more relaxed.

AQHA classes that will be offered include Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Showmanship, Hunt Seat Eq, Reining, Trail and Western Riding.

As well as offering AQHA approved classes, the  show will offer classes for ALL

BREEDS!  So if you own a Paint, Pinto,

Arabian, Appaloosa, Morgan or even a horse that is not registered, you are welcome to come and show!  As always, the “open classes” are PAC, ACAAP, OCAP, etc… approved!

If anyone is interested in working, I am looking for a Ring Steward, Gate Person and Announcer.

Details and class list will be posted shortly at www.PoormansHorseShows.com.

Many thanks to WSQHA for sponsoring the All Novice show!
