PLAYDAY RULES

PLAYDAY RULES

A saddle will be awarded to the highest scoring Jr Rider & Sr Rider for the series
you must be a South Sound Saddle Club (SSSC) member to win the Series Saddle. You can join SSSC at the playday for $10

you do not have to be a SSSC member to compete unless you are competing for the saddle. you can win any & all other series & show awards without a membership... (Saddles are excluded)

There will be high point & reserve prizes for every division offered at each playday

There will be prizes for 1st thru 3rd each game by division

There will be a series prizes & series reserve for all divisions offered at the playday
you must compete at 3 of the 4 shows; the April show is mandatory

Novice Walk Trot is for beginning riders

Volunteers are crucial to the success. Volunteers help to keep the show running smoothly & keep the cost reduced. Volunteers will be needed for the gate, raking & setting up the courses. Please contact us in the office.

Walk Trot divisions are not eligible to win the saddles. The “surprise game” is not counted towards the saddles. You must ride the courses at a run to be eligible for the saddles.

Jr riders = 17 & under, Sr riders = 18 & Over

Divisions Include: PEE WEE W/T 6 & UNDER , BUCKAROO 7-10, JUNIOR 11 - 13, JUNIOR 14-17, SENIOR 18-49, Super SENIOR 50 & OVER, NOVICE WALK TROT ALL AGES

Helmets Required if Under 18

High Point for each day and for the series is based on one horse/one rider combo.

Points will be awarded for each placing 1st=6, 2nd=5, 3rd=4, 4th=3, 5th=2 and everyone that participated but did not place 1st thru 5th will receive 1 participation point towards prizes

GENERAL RULES

1.  We encourage good sportsmanship and treatment of your horse. Poor sportsmanship and abuse of you horse will not be tolerated. You may be warned, you may be dismissed at the discretion of the Judge and/or show committee.

2.  Visibly ill or lame horses may be dismissed from the show at the discretion of the Judge and/or show committee.

3.     Out of control or horses that pose a danger may be dismissed from the show at the discretion of the Judge and/or show committee.

4.     Riding boots WITH HEEL AND NO RAMP are required. Helmets for all riders are encouraged; they are required for those under 18 years of age.

5.    Approach the Judge for information only, not to dispute calls. All calls are final.

6.     Knockdown of a barrel, pole flag container, missed flag container or dropped flag is a 5- second penalty for each occurrence.

7.     Ties will be decided by a coin flip. If the show committee AND both riders agree, a run­off MAY be offered to break the tie.

8.  Going off course or failing to complete the pattern is a no time

9.  Re-runs may be given for interferer, moving or resetting the course, or timer failure at the discretion of the Judge and/or show committee. Re-runs will not be given for tack failure, horse or rider damage to area or equipment, horse or rider accident or injury, or anything that is the cause of the rider.

10.  Event equipment will not be re-set during the run.

11.  No dismounting while on course.

12.  Each rider will get a maximum of 60 seconds to complete the course.

13.  Each rider will get only one run per game unless rule #9 applies.
